“Fifteen years since first opening up their home as a bed and breakfast, Christine and Antony Morgan-Furlong admit they’re still hardly hospitality experts. “We’d never stayed in a B&B when we started, and even now we still don’t know any rules,” says Christine. That’s because Eden Villa, at its heart, is a home. As residents of Mount Eden for 25 years, the couple love sharing the secrets of the city with guests. Antony often sends guests to The Sugar Club to view the city but he also has a soft spot for a particular maunga ‘nearby. His tip? Grab a bottle of wine and fish and chips before heading up Mount Eden for sunset, which is just a 20-minute walk from Eden Villa.”
